September 2009 - Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council Goes Virtual With Bull TCL
To date, Bull TCL has achieved a consolidation ratio of 24:1 with the original 56 physical servers and a further 54 new virtual servers deployed on a VMWareŽ farm made up of just five physical servers. By investing in a virtual server infrastructure, this has enabled the deployment of new systems within a much reduced timeframe and at a reduced cost both in terms of power and cooling, as well as significantly reducing the space needed in the computer centre.

September 2009 - Delivering full disaster recovery at Nottingham City Council
Nottingham City Council is an all-purpose, unitary authority, working to make Nottingham a better place to invest in, live, work and visit. With 13,000 staff in 100 locations, the council provides a whole range of different services to over one million people. Responsible for the council's network and communications infrastructure, the council's 60-strong IT team underpins the delivery of services to citizens, including Social Services, Housing and Council Tax, to Benefits, Leisure facilities and Business Services.
